What is a Transition to Retirement Pension?

A Transition to Retirement Pension (TTR) is a type of superannuation pension that allows you to access your superannuation as an income stream.

Consequently, if you are in receipt of a TTR, it could help you to:

  • Make ends meet while you seek employment;
  • Top up your income if you get a part-time job, receive a lower salary or reduced work hours.

TTR’s have special tax concessions given to them. So it’s a good idea to consult with your Wealth-IQ adviser about these. Additionally, you can get more detailed information by reading our e-book or, by accessing the ATO site at ato.gov.au
